The main purpose of this site is to share our vacation experiences with family and friends across the country. If a commitment to go to the Mediterranean was big, well, it was. The idea started in early 2006 when Disney announced that it would be moving one of its two ships, the Magic (see below), to the Med for sailings in summer 2007. Slick advertising soon arrived in our mailbox and the wife and kids were hooked.
Our family of four--myself (Brian), Angie, Megan and Maddie--had previously sailed with DCL in 2003 and loved it. We always said we'd be back, but had no idea we'd be heading to the Mediterranean for an 11-night cruise. But we are. After all, as my conservative wife says, "We can get off the ship, visit the places, and get back on the ship."
Yea, we're the target audience for this trip.
Thus, the planning is well underway. Airfare, luggage, clothes, housesitter and a couple of dozen other things have been done or will be soon.
